An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Registered Nurse to join our large, supportive and friendly team within our Trauma and Orthopaedic Wards as a Band 7 Senior Sister at Nobles Hospital on the beautiful Isle of Man. Our Trauma and Orthopaedic Wards serve patients with a variety of needs, including elective surgery, urgent orthopaedic conditions and major trauma.

Main duties of the job

This dynamic role is responsible for the leadership and management of the team and providing senior support for the day to day running of Manx Cares emergency orthopaedic inpatient service. You will be supported by colleagues and our cohesive multi-professional team to lead our dedicated team of outstanding Nurses, who deliver high quality, patient-centred orthopaedic care. As Senior Sister, you will have 24-hour responsibility for managing all aspects of patient care delivery and resources within the Wards.You will also play a key leadership role during periods of high demand, such as TT fortnight.

  • Relevant teaching and assessing qualifications
  • Educated to degree level or demonstrate equivalent level of experience
