Full and part time hours
Ward B5 - healthcare of the elderly is an exciting new 24 bedded inpatient ward (up to 33 beds under winter pressures) we are currently looking for a band 6 nurse team leaders to join our new team.
We are looking for passionate, hardworking and friendly Senior Nurses to support the Ward Manager. They will be the advocate for the ward managers in their absence and ensure care is delivered according to trust policies and procedures. They will coordinate the ward providing effective and consistent leadership to junior members of staff.

Main duties of the job
To be responsible for a large team of staff, including Staff Nurses, Nursing Associates, Health Care Support Workers, Student Nurses, apprentices and volunteers.
To work closely with all members of the multi professional team to ensure that patients receive seamless care within the Trust and community. To provide specialist advice to support assessment, planning and implementation of care and where appropriate carry out specialist nursing procedures.
To contribute to specialist education and training programmes for other staff and learners. To actively assist the Ward Manager, deputising in their absence, in maintaining a safe environment, whilst utilising the staff base to maximum efficiency.
