We are really proud that our unit has a gold accreditation for UNICEF Baby Friendly Initiative - the first in the UK.

Tracy, Sister in SCBU says I have worked here for a number of years, and I take great pride in the high standard of care that we deliver for patients and their families. We are the only neonatal unit in the country to achieve the Gold Award for Unicef Baby Friendly. This is testament to the hard work and development opportunities that are constantly on offer in Harrogate. • To implement and evaluate family centred care and to be responsible for the delivery of care and assessment, development and evaluation of individual programmes of care.

  • To be responsible for mentoring pre-registration students and more junior members of staff.
  • To act as Nurse in Charge of the shift as required - QIS training is mandatory for this post
