Join our dynamic team and play a role in shaping practice governance and quality improvement initiatives within our Specialist Services Division. As a Practice Governance Facilitator, you will support your teams to promote best practices, implement learning from patient safety incidents, ensure appropriate quality assurance practices are in place to support quality improvement. Your work will directly contribute to ensuring teams are compliant with standards, and their practices align with policies and procedure. Main duties of the job

This will include but is not limited to:

o Supporting the dissemination, implementation, and monitoring of Trust policies

o Supporting team managers in setting standards and improving the performance of individuals and teams

o Supporting teams with the development of quality improvement initiatives and their implementation.

o Identify audit priorities for Special Services Division and facilitate team-level audit programmes to support quality improvement

o Support unit concordance with processes for the reporting of, and learning from, incidents, including the monitoring of incident reports. Proactively use this learning to identify quality improvement initiatives

o Support units to coordinate responses to CQC/MHAC visits and serious incidents working towards service improvement

o Support the Senior Practice Governance Facilitator and Deputy Head of Nursing in any other governance or service improvement initiatives as required

Experience

  • Experience in a management role within a health & social care setting
  • Translation of policy into practice
  • Standard setting and clinical audit
  • Performance management
  • Management & monitoring of complaints
  • Sound knowledge of current policy and national development in relation to, Mental Health, Clinical Governance, HR, Mental Health Act, and MH/LD clinical practice


Desirable

  • Undertake Investigations
  • Knowledge and experience of in-patient and community Mental Health services
