An exciting opportunity has arisen to work on a dynamic fast pace specialised surgical unit.

The Elective Surgery Unit is a 44 bedded unit incorporating all surgical specialities including vascular, breast, gynaecological, urology, ophthalmology, maxio-facial, plastics, general surgery and ENT. The unit predominately provides care for a high volume of day case surgical patients making the unit fast paced and very varied. The unit also has a facility to accommodate patients requiring a 23 hour stay in hospital and supports other surgical wards. Unique to the unit is our nurse led discharge pathway which allows nursing staff to use their judgement alongside surgically instructions to safely discharge patients.

The successful applicant will work as part of an experienced team delivering a high standard of care. Expected to be able to work as part of a team, have excellent communication skills, behighly motivated and enthusiastic and keen to develop knowledge and skills around specialised surgery.
