Are you an experienced, professionally registered, Mental Health Nurses, Occupational Therapists or Social Worker, with a positive can do attitude and passion for improving patient experience? The Clinical Site team at St Ann's Hospital is expanding, as part of our exciting investments in service improvement work around patient flow. We are looking for people with an ability to work under pressure to co-ordinate and manage complex decisions around flow and patient care.
You will be responsible for duty operational management of mental health inpatient services, including oversight of safe staffing and incidents, of the Health Based Place of Safety and co-ordinating patient flow.
Full and part time hours considered- Shift pattern is long days (3 per week for full time) with expectation of regular weekend and bank holiday working. Occasional night shift cover may be required to meet the needs of the service. All reasonable flexible working requests will be considered.

Main duties of the job
To navigate various clinical interfaces and work under pressure to co-ordinate and manage complex decisions around flow and patient care.
The role provides a critical function in safe and therapeutic care and transitions. You will work closely with colleagues from a range of Trust and external agencies and services.
You will need to have excellent communication, leadership and decision-making skills, based in sound understanding of clinical best practice, policy and legal frameworks in relation to mental health.
Please note - You will be required to undertake aPrevention and Management of Violence and Aggressioncourse and it is a condition of your employment that you successfully complete all aspects of this course
Employment in this post requires an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, which the Trust will cover the cost of.
