Main duties of the job

The Weston team enjoy a supportive and friendly working environment, where we encourage participation and learning from one another at all times and focus our efforts towards a patient centred service. We have inpatient and outpatient services in Weston, with specialities including Medicine, Surgery, Care of the Elderly, Critical Care and Oncology. You would work alongside other dietitians, support workers as well as close working with members of the multi-disciplinary team.

Person Specification

Qualifications and Training


  • HPC registered
  • Evidence of continuing professional development
  • Degree/Post Graduate qualification in nutrition or dietetics
  • Clinical Supervisory Skills (Basic)
  • PEN Group Clinical Update Course and/or Behaviour Change Course


  • BDA Membership

Knowledge and experience


  • Proven experience in enteral nutrition support, chronic disease management and acute illness
  • Student training
  • Working as part of a multi-professional Team
  • Teaching Experience


  • Audit Experience
  • Experience of supervision of junior staff
  • Experience of writing protocols & guidelines
  • Experience of Home Enteral Nutrition

  • Time management

  • Teaching/presentation skills in a variety of settings & to professional groups/ grades
  • Computer skills & use of dietary analysis programmes
