The MSK service within Mid Nottinghamshire provide a wide-ranging portfolio of clinical services to the resident population of Mansfield, Ashfield, Newark & Sherwood. Specifically, this Team Leader role includes holding a clinical caseload demonstrating advanced knowledge and skills in the assessment and treatment of patients who present with acute and chronic complex musculoskeletal pathologies.
The role also includes supporting the operational line management of the team and contribute to the strategic development of the service.
The pot holder will also assist in monitoring the performance of the team and assist in the development of services that deliver against MSK together outcomes, national targets and patient expectations.
Main duties of the job
We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, creative and driven Team Leader to join our Leadership Team. As Team Leader, you will :
Deliver effective leadership of MSK services within the Locality, including recruitment, career development, performance, discipline, absence and work evaluation (including AHP Registration).Utilise highly developed specialist knowledge and skills to support and develop staff, facilitating the identification of training needs, the formulation of personal development plans and knowledge and skills framework.Use specialist knowledge to provide high quality effective MSK interventions to facilitate health gain and to maximise their functional ability.
You must be an AHP with HCPC registration, with demonstrable relevant leadership experience.
You will need to be highly motivated, have positive effective interpersonal and management skills and a commitment to deliver high quality, safe clinical services.
A full UK driving licence and vehicle for business use is required for this post however reasonable adjustments will be made for disabled individuals in line with the Equality Act 2010.

- To provide high quality holistic evidence based care to patients / service users that is responsive, effective and efficient.
- To hold a clinical caseload demonstrating advanced knowledge, skills and clinical reasoning.
- The role will have visible clinical and management leadership responsibilities ensuring delivery of the teams in achieving all QIPP and performance targets, including uptake of clinical supervision, mandatory training, PADs and undertaking clinical audits.
- To co ordinate and liaise with the team on all operational aspects including new initiatives within the team eg IT data systems and clinical service transformation.
- To develop and maintain effective working relationships with key parties who link with the MSK together therapy team including First Contact Practitioners physiotherapists in local Primary Care Networks.
