Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust is seeking a motivated individual with excellent leadership skills, extensive critical care outreach as well as resuscitation experience at band 7, to join our well-established and highly regarded Critical Care Outreach and Resuscitation Service. This practitioner-led team provides care to critically ill and deteriorating patients, alongside the delivery of a skilled resuscitation service. The service provides a robust resuscitation training programme and contributes to audit, quality improvement and patient safety initiatives across the Trust.
You will lead and manage an experienced clinical team to oversee the delivery of high quality, safe and effective care focused on improving outcomes and experiences for patients, families and carers.As well as providing sound clinical leadership you will develop support mechanisms for sharing good practice within the clinical setting and Trust wide.
The role includes a strong educational element with the delivery of resuscitation training to all grades of Trust staff, and you will need proven teaching/assessment skills. As well as providing resuscitation training sessions, you will be expected to respond to Cardiac Arrest calls as a member of the Resuscitation team.
For this challenging and rewarding role, we are looking for a proactive, enthusiastic and caring individual. The possession of excellent interpersonal skills is imperative, as well as a robust clinical background within the Acute and/or Critical Care and Resuscitation setting. You should ideally hold a current ALS/EPALS+/APLS certification. A commitment to and evidence of personal development is also required.

Main duties of the job
- As a key member of a multi professional team, ensure appropriate referral and discussion with other members of the team to optimise patient care.
- Ensure patients are assessed, have care plans that are implemented and evaluated in accordance with Trust's evidence basedprocedural documents.
- To have local open and transparent communication channels that support the critical care outreach and resuscitation team to do the right thing for people we care for, to be bold when they have good ideas and to speak up when things go wrong.
- Act as a clinical expert within sphere of work.
- Have continuous responsibility for the team, providing visible professional leadership and line management for ateam of nursing and support staff.
- Ensure staffing is in line with Trust policy.
- Manage budgets and resources efficiently and effectively.
