We are seeking a skilled and experienced Physiotherapist to join our well established and respected, multi-disciplinary community neuro team (which includes early supported discharge for stroke patients) within the borough of Wandsworth.
The successful applicant will be responsible for the assessment and treatment of adults with a variety of neurological conditions. There is a strong emphasis on multi-disciplinary working especially within service development and team learning. The multi-disciplinary team includes occupational therapists, physiotherapists, speech and language therapists, dietician, clinical neuropsychologist, clinical nurse specialist, neuronavigator, therapy assistant practitioners, admin and psychology assistants.
As a senior team member, the post holder will have a key role in the ongoing development of the CNT physiotherapy service, and will also have a role in the overall CNT service development.
Continuing professional development is actively supported via clinical supervision, annual Personal Development Plans, post-graduate and in-service training from both a uni-professional and multi-disciplinary point of view. Supervision of students and more junior staff is actively encouraged. All our physiotherapy staff are fully supported by a Clinical and Operational Lead and Clinical Specialist Physiotherapist.

Main duties of the job
- To assess and manage own caseload of patients including those with a complex presentation, make a diagnosis, and to develop and deliver individualised physiotherapy treatment programmes.
- To work as an autonomous practitioner within the standards of professional practice laid down by the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy and Health Professions Council.
- To be responsible for line managing and clinically supervising junior members of the team (e.g. Band 6 Physiotherapist and/or rehab assistant), as well as providing clinical education to students on placement.
- Be a lead physiotherapist for community neuro rehabilitation including early supported discharge for stroke patients.
- To take a key role in the future development of the multi disciplinary service.
