An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced nurse to join the management team within Ward 113.
Ward 113 is one of 3 respiratory wards at Royal Stoke and we are a recognised tertiary centre for NIV and complex Tracheostomy weaning, taking referrals nationally from other acute Trusts and critical care facilities. We provide on-going domiciliary NIV service with Clinical Nurse Specialist expertise and a 24hour helpline with technical support when patients need us most. Ward 113 may take step down pts from this facility plus care for a range of respiratory conditions.

Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will work as a Senior Sister/charge Nurse delivering, monitoring and evaluating current care, leading a dedicated team of specialist knowledge.
As a Band 7 Senior Sister/Charge Nurse you will coordinate and lead the team on a daily basis. You will participate in innovative & evidence-based nursing practice through professional leadership and play a pivotal role in leading the clinical team to develop and deliver safe care. Working closely with the Directorate team to support the wider organisational goals and provide unit efficiencies.
This post is a full time post, predominantly working Monday - Friday but some weekend working may be required.

Essential requirements for the post are:
- First level NMC registration
- 3 years post registration experience of which 12 months have been as Band 6 Deputy Ward Manager/Senior Clinical
- Degree level study
- Evidence of on-going professional development
- Mentorship or equivalent qualification.
- Evidence of excellent attendance
- Excellent communication
