This is an exciting opportunity to join a committed and dynamic team within the Division of Diagnostics and Clinical Support at Wirral University Teaching Hospital as Directorate Manager of Therapies. We are looking for an exceptional individual who shares our values, energy and commitment to patient care as you lead our Therapies Directorate within the Diagnostic and Clinical Support Division.
The Therapies Directorate is a large Directorate consisting of teams delivering services across all areas of the Trust including in and outpatient care, paediatrics and in highly specialised areas. The team includes staff from several AHP professions, support staff and an administrative team.
As you would expect for a role of this kind, you will need the ability to work in an exceptionally fast-paced and demanding environment, balancing multiple work programmes and competing priorities. You will also need a highly collaborative approach, excellent communication and influencing skills, resilience, and the ability to work through obstacles and find effective solutions. Partnership and relationship-building with stakeholders will be fundamental to your success.
Main duties of the job
As an experienced leader, you will be ready to bring your passion and energy to the role. You will have experience of leading change in acute NHS health care services, and be able to demonstrate your ability to take your teams with you in challenging circumstances.
In addition you will bring your confidence, kindness, integrity and flexibility you will be a role model for the behaviours we want to see across the organisation.
To co-ordinate and promote the integration of the operational management, service planning and service delivery processes of the Directorate, to achieve agreed service levels. To work with the Divisional leadership team to use available resources effectively, efficiently and within agreed budgets.
To provide leadership which enables the delivery of high quality, safe and person centred care through the engagement and empowerment of others.
