We are looking for motivated, enthusiastic, versatile, Band 5 Newly Qualified Theatre Practitioners to join our dynamic theatre team and work in UK Largest Teaching Trusts UHCW Hospital.
You will have access to fantastic Preceptorship/ AHP package and vast learning and promotional opportunities you will be given to opportunity to bring your newly acquired skills to a leading trust, renowned for their teaching and educational capacity, career progression into varied roles, friendly culture, positive morale, and who are recognised leaders in innovation and patient-centred care and learning.
UHCW is a large teaching trust providing innovative and leading edge clinical services to Coventry and Warwickshire and beyond. We are closely integrated to the Medical School at Warwick University and are part of various surgical rotations. We are a Cancer Centre and a key provider of secondary and tertiary services.
Theatre Practitioners are key to the smooth running of each theatre. ODPs will work closely with multi-speciality Theatre Teams to ensure that everything the team needs each day is ready and available. You will be expected to play a valued part in the Theatre Team to deliver safe quality care for patients during their peri-operative phase of care.
Main duties of the job
Vacancies at the present time are as follows:
Candidates will be committed to continuous professional development, possess excellent communication and organisational skills, and the passion to deliver care of the highest standard. In return, full training in all aspects of the service will be given to the successful candidate and we have a dedicated team of Theatre Clinical Educators who will support and guide you through the excellent range of opportunities that UHCW NHS Trust has to offer.
Successful applicants will be guided through our preceptorship package with appropriate mentorship to work across one of these sites. The trust offers a wide range of specialties, including Robotic, Cardiac- Thoracic, Vascular, Bariatric, General Surgery, Obstetrics, Colorectal, Plastics, Orthopaedics, Breast Surgery and Renal Transplants to name a few. Additionally we are a Major Trauma centre.
As a provider of patient-centred care, we are passionate about delivering excellent care to our local and extended population in the acute environment and in recent years, our theatres have achieved large gains in productivity and efficiency through improved capacity management and real-time tracking of theatre activity
