We are seeking a highly motivated, inclusive and inspirational leader for Ward 2,our busy 24 bedded elective Arthroplasty Ward.
Ward 2 are a team who, working closely with other members of the multi-disciplinary team strive to continuously improve quality and standards of care and outcomes for patients.
The post holder will have 24 hour responsibility and accountability for safe, effective clinical practice and efficient management of the ward.
Main duties of the job
Hold overall responsibility for the organisation and management of the ward.
Provide clear clinical leadership and be responsible for ensuring the provision of high standards of holistic, patient centered care.
Accountability for co-ordinating patient care, the management of resources and performance of staff
Ensure safe and effective clinical practice
Enhance patient experience
Ensure effective capacity management

Qualifications
Essential
- Registered Nurse with current NMC Registration Diploma or Degree level qualification, or willingness to undertake Willingness to complete post graduate orthopaedic course Experience of supporting learners in practice Evidence of post basic training
Desirable
- Post registration orthopaedic qualification (or working towards) Leadership qualification
Experience

- Substantial/significant experience required as a band 6 sister/charge nurse Evidence of continued professional development Excellent written and verbal communication skills Organisational skills and ability to lead a team Ability to be a change agent Knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation
