Band 5
Contract Type
Full Time
We are expanding our imaging team to support our Community Diagnostic Centre and are looking for junior and experienced radiographers to join us at this exciting time.

The Radiographer role will work within a multidisciplinary team to support delivery in both acute and community sites providing opportunities for a wide range of both routine and complex radiography.

The team are supported by imaging support workers and nurses.

We offer an extensive preceptorship programme for newly qualified radiographers. There is a current programme for link-grading to Band 6 after two years post-graduate experience is gained although this is subject to availability.

Part-time and fixed night patterns are options that will be given consideration although all patterns would have to be consistent with service delivery and training requirements.

Student Radiographers are welcome to apply.

Main duties of the job

You will take part in a rota covering this service delivering care to our local population 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Our Trust is also a major hub for women's and children's services with our neonatal intensive care unit being one of 3 centres of excellence in the region and as such has a large paediatric workload.

We perform a high number of mobile examinations across our various wards, as well as fluoroscopy examinations in theatres, including trauma, pacing lab and urology. In addition to rotating through mobiles and theatre, you will also rotate through fluoroscopy and CT, as well going to work at our satellite primary imaging service in Bolton town centre and on-site at our Community Diagnostic Centre.

Skills in fluoroscopy and interventional radiology are desirable.
