An excellent opportunity has arisen for an individual to support the Partnership in the expansion of its career progression and placement service. Our Learning and Development team is looking to add a Work Experience & Placement Coordinator to their innovative team, whose focus will be on creating a culture of opportunities and development for our local communities, schools and higher education institutions.
This is an apprenticeship role, with the successful candidate enrolled on an Employability Practitioner Apprenticeship.
Main duties of the job
This post will be responsible for facilitating and supporting the delivery of programmes and activities to meet the apprenticeship and support staff learning needs of the Partnership. These will be adapted as and when policies/guidelines change ensuring relevance and accuracy. The programmes the post will support include but are not limited to the day-to-day arrangements for apprenticeships and support staff learning
o supporting information, advice and guidanceo recruiting and inducting both new to the Partnership apprentices and supporting existing colleagues onto apprenticeship programmeso supporting the procurement and growth of our apprenticeship offero facilitating the promotion of NHS apprenticeships in schools and collegeso monitoring and reporting on apprenticeship activityo providing educational advice and support to apprentices and their manager, and escalating issues to the appropriate channels (HR, Occupational Health etc)o supporting functional skills commissioning and management (signposting to provision)o increasing the Partnership's profile as an employer of apprenticeships by representing the Partnership at career and educational events.
Reporting into the Apprenticeship Lead, the post holder will work collaboratively with peers and colleagues within the Learning and OD team to model a well-functioning and high performing team.The post holder is also a member of the wider People and OD Directorate.

Qualifications/ Registrations
Essential
- Minimum Level 3 qualification (any subject)
- Teaching or mentoring qualification, or extensive experience GCSE Maths and English or equivalent at Grades A-C (or working towards)
Desirable
- Certificate in Advice and Guidance (RQF) Level 3 NVQ
- Level 3 Award in Education and Training Business Administration qualification (Level 3 or above)
Experience/ Knowledge
Essential
- Recent experience of working with apprentices (including providing advice and guidance)
- Significant experience of coordinating education and development programmes to a multiprofessional diverse workforce
- Experience of working with staff at varying levels across organisations
- Experience of data management and reporting
Desirable
- Experience of the apprenticeship levy and using the Digital Apprenticeship Service (DAS)
- Experience of facilitating sessions remotely
Skills/Abilities

- Strong written and verbal communication skills - able to present and influence at all levels and build and develop strong trusting relationships
