We are currently looking for a band 5 registered nurse to come and work within our team on ward 111.If you are a Registered Nurse who enjoys a fast paced surgical ward then this speciality is for you. Training and education will be provided to assist you if you are not experienced in air way management and all newly qualified nurses will undergo a thorough preceptorship package.
Main duties of the job
An exciting opportunity has arisen for Band 5 staff nurses on ward 111, a fast paced unit specialising in Plastics, Max Fax, Breast surgery and ENT including Tracheostomy and Laryngectomy care offering a wealth of learning opportunities.
The ward can offer a full induction package with a supernumerary period. Training and competencies within the specialities and on-going support and professional development. In line with service development ward 111 ward 111 offers 12-hour shifts. However, it is recognised that this is not suitable for all therefore 7.5 hour shifts can also be offered.
The ideal candidatewill have enthusiasm to work within a motivated team to provide high quality care through evidence based practice and innovation. The candidateis preferred to have surgical experience and basic computer skills along with excellent communication skills experience in tracheostomy care is also desirable but not essential.They will work under the guidance of the Senior Sister and mentor.
