There's never been a better time to consider joining our North Manchester General Hospital People Team, working to support the delivery of a high quality strategic and operational people management service.

You will hold membership of the Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development, having successfully completed to at least Level 5 CIPD qualification (or equivalent), and have recent experience in supporting managers with employee relations issues.

Join us, you will soon be working alongside our HR Business Partners to support our Divisions in the development and modernisation of their services, including, effective workforce utilisation, role design, workforce restructuring, skill mix and management of change, in line with best practices and Trust Policies and Procedures.

Main duties of the job

Flexibility is a critical aspect of this role and you will need to demonstrate the willingness, understanding and ability to manage a broad range of Divisional workforce priorities.

An excellent communicator, you will have the ability to develop and maintain relationships across a wide range of managers/clinicians/and staff, as well as ensuring a partnership working approach.

You will analyse and provide key information to managers and clinicians to enable them to manage their workforce effectively.

You will have a commitment to working as part of a team and have experience of a busy and diverse workload, prioritising effectively at all times.

The role also provides generalist HR support to managers offering advice regarding terms and conditions of employment and supporting a range of employee relations case work, including, disciplinary, grievance, performance management, dignity and respect at work and sickness absence management.

You will also support the staff engagement and experience, and organisational development programmes across North Manchester General Hospital , in conjunction with the wider People Team.

  • oHigh level of general education to degree level or equivalent.
  • oPost Graduate Diploma in Human Resources Management or equivalent relevant professional qualification


Experience

  • oOperational experience, gained across a range of HR specialities in a progressive HR function.
  • oAn up to-date knowledge of HR practices and evidence to continuous personal and professional development in current role


Skills

  • oAbility to communicate effectively in writing, and verbally with individuals on a one-to-one basis and with groups.
  • oAbility to explore, evaluate and interpret information and options and make decisions and recommendations based on an analysis of options
