Are you passionate about working in perioperative care? Whether you are newly qualified or an experienced HCPC registered ODP or Registered Nurse we have exciting opportunities for you!
CUH Theatres, which is included in both Addenbrooke's Hospital and the Rosie Hospital, employ over 600 staff who work across a total of 37 operating theatres. In main theatres there are 22 theatres split into three units. We are a regional Major Trauma Centre and in doing so serve a very wide and complex population.
Aspiring candidates who wish to join our team as a Band 5 ODP or RN can explore numerous development opportunities. These include our Trainee Anaesthetic Nurse Course, offered in partnership with University College London (UCL), as well as prospects for further education and professional growth leading to a PG Cert and a Master's degree.
Main duties of the job
To work as part of the multidisciplinary team, providing safe and effective care for patients during the Perioperative period.
To undertake the management of a defined clinical area in accordance with own competence and level of experience when required.
To participate as an integral member of the theatre team.
Participate in the supervision and training of students and junior staff.
