Job Details

The Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust have an exciting opportunity to join the Simulation & Skills service. Within this role as a Simulation & Skills Facilitator you will be joining a highly skilled team of educators who deliver a variety of clinical skills, simulation and human factors training.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be a dynamic professional registrant with demonstrable experience of clinical skills and supporting learning in practice. They will be passionate about making a difference in a hands-on role, enjoy a challenge and be highly organised, hard-working and flexible. To work clinically alongside staff within the trust to support and educate and develop healthcare workers, facilitating the retention of the workforce.

The purpose of the post is to facilitate the development, delivery and evaluation of the educational programmes for clinical skills and simulation for healthcare practitioners and learners. The post holder will work under the direction of the Clinical Skills Lead.

Person Specification

Education, Qualifications & Training


  • Registered Nurse or AHP
  • Recognised teaching / mentoring qualification
  • Evidence of continuing professional development


  • Educated to a degree level



  • Broad range of clinical expereince.
  • Experience of delivering training
  • Experience of mentoring or coaching


  • Knowledge of relevant clinical policies and clinical skills
  • Evidence of leading clinical shifts

Skills, Abilities & Knowledge


  • Possesses a range of clinical skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, influencing and presentation skills
  • Excellent IT skills


  • Good time/resource management skills

  • Able to work in a large team.
