There is an opportunity depending on experience to offer these posts as a band 4 developmental post with a supportive framework to develop you to a Band 5.

We have an exciting opportunity to join our team. We are looking to recruit people to co-deliver the Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training in Learning Disability and Autism in Coventry and Warwickshire.

This role is for people who are autistic and/or have a learning disability.

Main duties of the job

This role is for people who are autistic and/or have a learning disability.

You will work together with a facilitating trainer to co-deliver face-to-face and/or online training.

This is a national training programme. It is important for you to be aware that the training covers sensitive and potentially upsetting subjects.

We will provide you with full training and ongoing support to help you develop in your role and maintain your wellbeing.

We have different hours of work available. Each training session is half a day. The number of sessions you work each week is flexible.

You will work as part of a team helping to make a difference to the lives of people who have a learning disability and/or autistic people.

Job responsibilities

The role:

You will help to deliver training to staff who work across health and social care services. The training focuses on making positive changes to reduce inequalities.

You will be supported to share your lived experience in a way that is safe and comfortable for you.

A successful candidate will be:

autistic and/or have a learning disability

confident to communicate in front of a group of people using your preferred communication method

able to travel to your training venue, with support if required

able to demonstrate respect to others before, during and after training sessions

willing to keep learning and help to improve the way we deliver the training

reliable, trustworthy and able to keep information confidential
