We are looking for an experienced Mental Health Practitioner with a UK Professional Registration to join our fast-growing fast-paced Mental Health Support Teams (MHSTs) in North East Essex.
MHST's are a new service designed to support children and young people with mild to moderate mental health and emotional wellbeing difficulties within education settings. We are a multidisciplinary team made up of Children and Young People's Mental Health Practitioners and Education Mental Health Practitioners.

Main duties of the job
The applicant will work in partnership with schools, children, young people, and families in the development of plans for the intervention and agreed outcomes.
To support the Locality Clinical Lead with the formulation and treatment and management plans for schools, parents, children, and young people using a range of specialist psychological interventions appropriate to the service, individual and group.
To effectively manage a caseload of CYP with mild to moderate mental health difficulties.
Completion of thorough assessments, risk assessments, care planning and reviews. The applicant mustensure that there is accurate documentation, and that Routine Outcome Measures are completed.
Appropriately raise safeguarding concerns where identified and to support colleagues with this process.
Provide caseload management and supervision to Trainee Education Mental Health Practitioners, Education Mental Health Practitioner's and Senior Mental Health Practitioner's.
To support in the delivery of evidence-based CBT.
To work as part of a Multi-Disciplinary Team within your locality but also with other MHSTs within Essex
The applicant should be able to work as part of a team and autonomously.
Further training will be expected for any successful applicant who does not hold a supervisor qualification.

Starting with NELFT
NELFT place a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment. As part of the process new starters will have the opportunity to also meet the executive team, senior managers and attend a number of drop in sessions focusing in engagement, health and wellbeing and key processes. The induction will be held at our head office in Rainham, Essex.

The role of Senior Clinician and Supervisor will cover the Nortj-East Essex area (Colchester and Tendring), and we currently have vacancies for 2 WTE.

This post is largely agile working, ability to work independently within educational settings or at NELFT sites is important. Some travel around the county is also expected. A nominal base of 900 The Crescent, Colchester is given.

- Successful completion of a graduate training (e.g. nursing, social work, occupational therapy) and eligible for registration as a full member of the appropriate professional body NMC, HCPC, BABCP AFT, ACP
