Aneurin Bevan University Health Board is one of seven within Wales and our dedicated staff care for 21% of the Welsh population across three main hospitals. Our busy and ever-expanding echo service delivers up to 2000 transthoracic echocardiograms each month. In addition to this, we have recently established physiology led clinics that include stress echocardiography, valve clinics, LVO and bubble clinics. We actively encourage staff to develop their skills in areas that interest them individually.
Patients are at the heart of everything we do and so is staff well-being. Echo physiologists have monthly online cross-site meetings discussing any issues and to connect with each other in a relaxed, safe environment where all opinions are valued. In addition to weekly MDT meetings with Consultants, physiologists hold biannual meetings in person, our last one included an educational and interactive talk on global longitudinal strain. We often meet up on social events and are proud to say we recently achieved completion of the National Three Peaks challenge in order to raise money for Calon Hearts.
If you're looking for great opportunities for career development while living in a vibrant, awe-inspiring landscape with vast tradition, heritage and culture, look no further.
