The People & Culture Business Partner provides a comprehensive professional and high quality People service to their nominated Care Group. You will support the Specialty management teams and in developing the people and workforce capacity and capability to design and deliver Trust plans, whilst promoting the health and wellbeing of our teams and ensuring that Trust values are lived.

You will take a leading role in both the relevant Care Group and specialty leadership teams and the wider People team providing central services and supporting other Care Groups and Corporate Services' Departments.

Main duties of the job

Your key responsibilities will be to:
  • Provide effective, visible, professional People & Culture leadership within Care Groups, Corporate areas and across the People and Culture department.
  • Work with Care Groups, Corporate teams and the ICS to support, develop, inform, implement and review Care Group, Trust and regional workforce strategies and annual returns.
  • Be the key workforce representative for Care Groups at specialty meetings, finance and efficiency meetings and any other relevant meetings in your role as a key part of the leadership team, including active involvement in any actions relating to workforce interventions.
  • Develop a deep understanding and insight into the working practices and day-to-day business of the Care Group/Corporate Service Department, to ensure intelligent business knowledge and support for workforce and culture related plans and strategies.
  • Be an employee champion, by supporting, developing, facilitating and contracting staff engagement and Organisational Development interventions and activities to analyse and take action on feedback and issues raised through staff survey, quarterly Pulse survey, FTSU and other routes.
  • Provide input to the development of employment policies and their communication and implementation in the Trust, inputting to training of such policies as appropriate.
