Our extremely friendly and passionate multi-disciplinary team in Basingstoke CAMHS is currently looking for a substantive full time Band 7 Clinical Psychologist.
We have a brilliant and very strong Clinical Psychology structure in our team, and you will be working alongside another B7 colleague, as well as 2 Senior Practitioner Psychologists and a Principal Clinical Psychologist. Our team also has APs, Trainee Clinical Psychologists and an undergraduate Psychology placement student.
We are passionate about growing and developing our clinical psychologists and would welcome applications from colleagues in their final year of training.
The Basingstoke MDT is made up of psychologists, nurses (mental health and learning disabilities), therapists, social workers, mental health practitioners and psychiatrists. The team offers a range of interventions to children and young people, including generic and specialist assessments, interventions (including CBT, EMDR, DBT, groupwork etc.), duty support and network liaison for specific cohorts of young people, e.g. looked after children, children with learning disabilities.
Main duties of the job
You will join the other psychologists in providing assessment (including neurodevelopmental), formulation, individual and group interventions and consultation using a range of therapeutic approaches including CBT, systemic and EMDR.
You will work closely with both psychology colleagues and the wider MDT. We encourage colleagues to work together to support young people and families, sharing knowledge and skills and learning from each other.
You will receive high standards of supervision, including secondary supervision where appropriate, and will be supported to develop your skills in areas of interest through our comprehensive training packages.
