Main duties of the job

• The Post holder will be responsible for the assessment of the needs, development of programmes of care, & for the implementation & evaluation of these programmes for patients & their relatives
• Provide a high standard of clinical nursing within the ward / department.
• Manage a group of patients
• Take charge of the ward when rostered & assessed as competent to take on the roles and responsibilities of leadership and supervision5 .Act as a role model to students & Clinical Support Workers6. Present a positive, professional image of the organisation & of the nursing team
