An opportunity has arisen to join the Estates Management Team at The Royal Hospital site which is part of the NCA NHS Group.

Main duties of the job

You will be experienced in hard services estates management with a engineering background who will be able to project manage, monitor works and compliance and lead and manage a team.

You will be responsible for the implementation of professional management throughout facilities & estate engineering and building operations including planned maintenance, defect maintenance. Support the Estates & Facilities General Manager in the implementation of policy and service development. Deputies for the Estate & Facilities General Manager in his/her absence.

Person Specification

Education and Qualification

Essential

  • HNC/Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or construction


Desirable

  • Masters Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering/Construction


Knowledge & Skills

Essential

  • Extensive Knowledge of highly complex Hospital Technical Memorandums (HTM's)
  • Substantial post qualifications experience in Electrical or Mechanical services


Desirable

  • Proven extensive estates operational experience within an acute hospital environment
  • Training in electrical or mechanical services and/or building fabric as appropriate


Other

Essential

  • Understanding of health and safety issues within a healthcare environment


Desirable

  • Clean driving licience
