The aim of the crisis house is to provide a safe response to a service user and family members/carers individual circumstance. The crisis house manager will lead and develop the service offered by the Warren and Martins staff teams. The Crisis Houses provide an environment that supports the needs of individuals experiencing a crisis situation that is related directly to their mental health concern, or where an unrelated crisis has a direct impact on their on-going mental health stability. The houses are staffed through Band 4 support workers and the role entails providing leadership and management, supervision and development of the teams.
Main duties of the job
The houses will provide a place of safety and support in which service users will receive assistance in identifying the nature of the crisis and how this may be addressed. The co-production approach will plan care with a focus on the service users views of their crisis. Together we will seek to develop skills, abilities and coping strategies to support the individual in recovery.
About us
NHFT is an integrated primary care and mental health Trust, providing physical, mental health and specialty services in both hospital settings and out in the community. Because we put the person at the centre of all we do, we focus on delivering care that is as easy to access as possible. This means many of our services can be provided at home, work or in schools. We also provide health services to various prisons and detention centres in Bedfordshire and Cambridgeshire.
NHFT promotes a culture of learning to improve the care and safety of our patients and staff, which focuses on people who enable our Trust to be 'outstanding' by supporting opportunity, innovation, development and growth.
