Main duties of the job

We have an exciting opportunity for a Band 6 Occupational Therapist (OT) to support the work of the Therapy teams through a Bank contract. You must have at least 18 months experience of working as an Occupational Therapist, covering the core clinical areas.

Key responsibilities of the position will be to work closely with other health care professionals in assessing and setting treatment programmes for patients with multiple pathologies and complex needs.

Person Specification



  • experience must have been undertaken in a physical setting within the NHS.
  • Working with older people and in a rehabilitation setting
  • Working with patients with perceptual and cognitive dysfunction


  • 4 + years experience.
  • Previous experience of the supervision of junior staff.



  • Multidisiplinary assessment and planning
  • Skills of goal setting



  • continuing development and Reflective practitioner

Language Requirement


  • Be able to speak English as necessary to undertake the role
