Our departments are supported by General Surgical Consultants, Surgical Registrars, ACPs and Junior Doctors. Flexible working is required as we cover SAECU/ESU seven days a week. This role does not entail working night shifts, however weekend day cover is required on a rotational basis every eight weeks.

Interested applicants must be a qualified ACP and possess a MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice. The ability to work as an independent Non-Medical Prescriber is essential therefore applicants must also possess a NMP qualification.

Main duties of the job

You will be required to practice in a professional and self-directed manner with confidence and expertise.

You will be expected to provide strong leadership to both the nursing, medical and surgical teams across all of our departments, ensuring episodes of patient care are managed thoroughly.

We are continuously looking at ways in which we can improve our services therefore you will be required to partake in audit and research, and quality improvement initiatives within the Surgical Division.

This role can be demanding therefore evidence of effective organisational and interpersonal skills, enthusiasm and flexibility will need to be demonstrated.
