Job Details

We are looking for a Advanced Clinical Practitioner to join our Neurophysiology department to participate in the running and further development of the service.

You will need to provide clinical leadership to the ACP & ECP team and work with others within the directorate to determine the priority workload of the team across the directorate

This role requires: Masters level Advanced Clinical Practice/Equivalent Masters. Professional registration with HCPC

Base Location: Poole

Qualifications

Essential

  • Masters level Advanced Clinical Practice/Equivalent Masters
  • Professional registration with HCPC


Desirable

  • Recognition as Advanced Practitioner by the National Centre for Advancing Practice


Experience

Essential

  • Demonstrable experience of working independently at a Band 7 Clinical role within Neurophysiology
  • Developing policies and protocols


Desirable

  • Teaching staff from other professions


Technical Skills Competencies

Essential

  • Advanced clinical skills, requiring precision, accuracy, dexterity such as complex eye-hand coordination tasks such as electrode placement and dexterity and co-ordination for use of diagnostic equipment.
  • Ability to analyse and interpret complex information from patient assessment and interventions, such as specified neurophysiological investigations and freedom to act in managing patients 'care.


Knowledge

Essential

  • Demonstrable theoretical and practical knowledge of neurophysiological common presentations.
