We have an exciting opportunity to join our team at the Nottingham Radiotherapy Centre as a Senior Therapeutic Radiographer. We would love to hear from any enthusiastic and motivated radiographers who would be interested in further developing their careers as part of a supportive and friendly team. You should have a minimum of 18 months post registration experience.

As a Band 6 Senior Therapeutic Radiographer you would be part of a Linac based team but would also have the opportunity to rotate through other areas of the department such as pre-treatment or brachytherapy.

In order to cover the service needs, the post-holder will need to be able to work flexible shifts over the working week with normal hours between 07.30 and 20.00.

Main duties of the job

To rotate through all the relevant clinical areas of the department under the direction of the sectional team leaders

To work and lead as part of a team of staff and to assist in the provision of a high quality Radiotherapy Service.

To comply with and contribute to the maintenance of ISO 9001:2015 quality system for the department.

To participate in audit, and the clinical research and development of techniques and equipment.

To ensure high technical standards and patient care standards are maintained during simulation and treatment.

To participate in the training and education programme of student and junior radiographers.

The Radiotherapy Department provides complex treatments including: paediatric radiotherapy, image guided IMRT, SABR, SRS and total body electron and photon treatments for patients across Nottinghamshire and the wider East Midlands region. The department has a major commitment to evidence based practice and participates in multi-centre clinical research.

Experience
