We are looking for a car parking manager to join our facilities team here at Salisbury District Hospital.
You will be responsible for overseeing the operational car parking services by ensuring there is a continued high level service delivery to the Trust, through the implementation of effective leadership, operational planning, and process management.
You are guided by national policies and legislation and will be responsible for developing and implementing the Trust's car parking policies and procedures and for auditing the application of these procedures.
Through the development of business cases, capital and charitable bids, the post holder will lead the strategic planning and development for the service.
Main duties of the job
You will liaise effectively with managers and stakeholders to make complex decisions that will impact on the parking across the Trust. This will involve complex and sometimes controversial conversations, that require diplomacy and decisions to be made that may not be popular. Excellent negotiation skills will be required to reach an end result that is workable.
You will be required to deliver a safe and high-quality service that achieves legal, financial, and service targets whilst maintaining effective working relationships and achieving a high level of satisfaction from stakeholders and all service users.
You will manage your own time and act independently but are able to seek advice from the Facilities General Manager. Work is managed and assessed at agreed intervals. Working as part of a team, you will be required to communicate with staff on performance and training issues, patients, and staff, regarding complaints/feedback and provide advice to the Trust on all service-related matters.
Please see attached Job description and person specification for full details of roles and responsibilities.
