We are looking for an enthusiastic and well-motivated individual to enable us to expand our well-established team of General Practitioners (GPs) and Advanced Clinical Practitioners (ACPs) working across the Urgent and Emergency Care Centre Primary Care stream and GP Out of Hours service.
The successful applicant will hold a Masters in Advanced Clinical Practice or equivalent with experience of out of hours, urgent and primary care. We will consider clinicians in year three of MSc ACP training. You will be required to work unsociable hours on a rotational basis to meet the demands of the service.
Applicants must be registered with either the NMC or HCPC.
Main duties of the job
Rotherham Urgent and Emergency Care (UECC) operates in an innovative and exciting way, using GPs and ACPs to provide primary care consultations.
This role will involve clinicians providing high quality clinical assessment, intervention, and treatment plans for undifferentiated patients, including children presenting to the primary care stream of the UECC and / or the GP out of hours service. You will work as an autonomous practitioner making appropriate referrals or discharging patients whilst utilising critical thinking and a sound evidence base. You will be expected to work across services delivering a wide range of consultation skills, including the provision of a primary care streaming, face to face consultations, telephone triage/consultations and home visiting within the local area. You will be expected to offer support for our trainee ACP workforce and junior colleagues.
