Working within Day Hospital services is a fantastic opportunity to develop psychological skills and work in a recovery focussed framework to support clients and maximise their potential.
Our Day Hospitals, Grand Avenue and Assessment and Recovery Unit (ARU) are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Band 5 registered nurse to join our friendly team. ARU is a day hospital developed to focus on a full holistic assessment of individuals over the age of 65 with mental health concerns such as depression, anxiety, psychosis and dementia. This involves providing group and individual therapy promoting health and wellbeing, assessment, recovery and hope. Nurses will be given training, support and supervision to develop these skills. Day Services engage clients in creative and recreational activities to assist with building confidence and self esteem. Staff will be expected on occasions to undertake service user escort duties both into and home from Grand Avenue.
Main duties of the job
The role involves completing various assessments to create and follow through goal-focused intervention plans and working closely with the MDT - psychiatrists, community mental health nurses, social workers, psychologists, occupational therapists, physiotherapists and speech & language therapists.
