We are recruiting for a Highly Specialised Physiologist - CRM who shares our vision to be trusted to provide consistently outstanding care and exemplary service to our patients.
An exciting opportunity for an accredited devices physiologist to join a small and dynamic CRM team at the Lister hospital. We provide support across the trust and into the community. The team are encouraged to bring ideas and service developments/improvements to the team in line with trust values.
We support a busy complex and brady service with an established face to face pacing clinic and remote follow up. As a team we feel strongly that face to face element is an important part, or our role and skill set and beneficial for the patients.
In 2023, we supported over 700 device procedures, and the service is showing year on year growth.
We are very excited to have appointed two new device and EP consultants. The introduction of conduction pacing and a community ICD deactivation service in the last 6mths. The potential for this service is endless.
We have an established apprenticeship and equivalence program which the successful candidate would be expected to support as the team would support you in fulfilling your full potential.

Main duties of the job
As a highly specialised Cardiac Physiologist you will be required to work as an highly specialist practitioner within the Cardiology Department, with a specialisation in device management. The successful candidate will work closely with the Lead Cardiac Physiologist
All band 7 staff are expected to assist in the management of the Cardiac Physiology Service across trust sites, and to demonstrate a high level of competency in all sections of the Technical Cardiology Department.
The role is vital in the provision of training, continuing professional development and overall performance of all staff in the Pacing/ICD section of the Cardiology Department. You will be expected to play a major role in the continuing professional development and overall performance of all staff in the technical cardiology service.
You would be expected to hold the relevant accreditation - IBHRE/BHRS

- BSc Clinical Physiology or Health Professions Council registration or recognised precursor
- Postgraduate profession related qualification, eg. IHBRE or HRUK/BSE
- Substantial post qualification experience within cardiology
