We provide District General hospital services to our local population in and around Brighton and Hove, Mid Sussex and the western part of East Sussex and more specialised and tertiary services for patients across Sussex and the South East of England.

The Urology department at PRH has expanded recently due to the opening of our new Urology Investigation and Treatment Centre (UITC), and there is now the opportunity for a Band 7 Sonographer to join the team.

The post holder will work to support the Urology team and the Lead Sonographer in the provision of a professional ultrasound service. They will need to be able to perform and report independently on a wide range of ultrasound examinations. They will be required to perform Lithotripsy (extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy - ESWL), for the treatment of renal and ureteric stones, for which they should have a willingness to learn and training will be given as necessary.
