Main duties of the job
We provide weekly support sessions, monthly Clinical Forums, regular Band 5 support group and regular Clinical Supervision, our Band 5 rotation posts will provide opportunities to work in various settings such as community, acute care and hyper acute, acute and rehabilitation for stroke. Each rotation will give you the chance to take on new responsibilities and challenges whilst being supported to develop clinically. You will be given protected time each month to work together to meet your learning needs in a peer support framework accessing highly specialist clinicians in voice, head and neck cancer, stroke, critical care and neurological degenerative conditions to further develop your knowledge and skills.
Our aim is to ensure our team have the right skills to see the right people at the right time and we invest in our staff to achieve this.We are proactive in research and service development and staff are encouraged to attend postgraduate courses/ RCSLT CENs. There is also a comprehensive in-service education programme within therapy Services. We have close links with the local School of Healthcare Professions at the University of Brighton and other universities. - Recognised Speech and Language Therapy Degree Qualification or equivalent
- Health Professions Council - Licence to Practice
- Registered Member of Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists

- Completed RCSLT dysphagia competencies to Foundation Practitioner level

- Relevant experience at undergraduate/post graduate level
