There are two posts available a rotational CT post which will offer a guaranteed rotation between CT and General X-ray. You will be trained in all aspects of CT to a level which will enable you to work independently within the modality. This post will consist of alternating blocks split between CT and the General rotation.

There is also a General rotational post in which you will work in all areas of General X-ray.

The Radiology Department boasts 10 general rooms with 3 in a busy and exciting ED unit our rooms are DR and include 4 new Samsung units. We also have Fluoroscopy, Angiography, CT, MRI, Dentals, DXA and Cardiac Cath Lab (including PPCI). The Interventional and Cardiac Cath Lab Units have undergone redevelopment with huge expansion works. CT is undergoing an asset replacement programme, with 2 scanners completed and the other 2 due to be replaced this year. The Community Diagnostics Centre project is due for completion in 2025 which will include 4 new CT scanners along with plain film x-ray rooms and MRI scanners. There are 27 theatres in which we have a range of Image Intensifiers. Cromer Hospital forms part of the Trust and is situated on the beautiful North Norfolk coast. The Cromer Radiology department has 2 general rooms supporting a busy MIU, GP's and clinics together with a procedure room with its own image intensifier. Also on site at Cromer are Mammography, US, MRI and DXA.

Main duties of the job

To provide a professional, high quality and responsive departmental service, to patients, in a safe clinical environment. The post holder will practice without the direct supervision of a clinician.

To participate in training and supervising of imaging staff, students, assistants and medical staff.

Hours of work: Full Time and part time hours are available (min 15hrs). Shifts are a mixture of long and short days. You will be required to work flexibly - weekday / weekend and out of hours duties within the NNUH Trust including Cromer District Hospital. We operate a 7 day working week which includes rostering at nights, weekends and Bank Holidays. We offer flexible working opportunities as well.
