Senior Staff Nurse
Hours of Work (p/w): 34 hours per week.
To provide continuity in the day to day running of the Hand Unit clinics. To provide excellent nursing care. To actively participate in the development of the service. Supervising and mentoring junior staff.
Main duties of the job
Responsible for: The day-to-day management of the Hand Unit in the absence of the Sister/Charge Nurse. Support and mentoring of more junior staff.
Key working relationships: nurse practitioners, nursing staff, hand surgeons, hand therapists, admin, plastic dressing clinic, Keate ward.
Role of the Department: The treatment of adults with traumatic hand injuries and chronic hand conditions.
