To convey recommendations for management / intervention to the patient and family/ carers, and produce timlely reports to the refering party and other relevant professionals regarding any assisstive listening devices that may be required.

To provide rehabilitation, counselling, advice and training to new and existing hearing aid patients. All patients will be hearing impaired but many will have complex communication needs and will need reassurance and persuasion in accepting their hearing loss/hearing aid. A high level of communication skill is needed as patients have barriers to understanding due to their hearing loss and poor speech discrimination.
