Are you a passionate and driven Band 5 Podiatrist seeking a rewarding opportunity? Then we want YOU to join our award-winning Podiatry Service at Midlands Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust.

Why Us? We have successfully developed and implemented our Gold Standard Podiatry Service that prioritises patient care, boasts exceptional outcomes, and has received exceptional feedback from both patients and peers.

The permanent posts are full-time 37.5 hours per week, and would be a wonderful opportunity for a newly qualified podiatrist. You will be working with a team of podiatrists and podiatry assistants covering a population of approximately 250,000.

Main duties of the job

The successful applicant will be supported to work as an autonomous practitioner assessing diagnosing care planning and reviewing child and adult patients with a multitude of clinical conditions. Our advanced practitioners in biomechanics, paediatrics, rehabilitation, rheumatology, diabetes & wound care provide expert help and advice and offer mentorship programs to all staff. The Midlands partnership Trust offers Oxleas preceptorship development opportunities. The service works closely with district nursing teams, tissue viability nurses, consultant lead multidisciplinary clinics, allied health professionals and local integrated teams.

We are seeking Podiatrists who have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, who are able to work on their own as well as part of a team. A commitment to patient care to assist patients to achieve their potential is essential. You will be encouraged to take part in various CPD activities including clinical support, supportive supervision and in-house training during team meetings. The post holder should have the ability to travel around the district.

Qualifications and Training


  • Degree in Podiatry or equivalent
  • Registration with HCPC
  • Evidence of/willing to undertake post-registration training relevant to the post
  • Evidence of Continued professional development since graduation



  • Relevant experience /placements to the role
  • Ability to manage time and caseload effectively


  • Experience of working in the in Community
  • Relevant placements including musculoskeletal/orthopaedics, paediatrics,diabetes, rheumatology, nail surgery, dermatology and woundcare
  • Working in a multidisciplinary team
  • Supporting service users, families and carers in dealing with the impacts of disability
  • Evidence of clinical knowledge relevant to the post
  • Understanding of Information Governance, Data Protection, HCPC standards and Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults/Children Awareness
