Are you a trained paediatric dietitian looking for exposure and experience in an acute Trust? Are you a motivated, reliable, hardworking individual who thrives in a busy environment?Staff Bank Services successfully provides temporary staffing throughout Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust via a variety of different assignments.We are looking to register reliable, hardworking individuals who would thrive in a busy environment who are available to work full time or part time hours Monday to Friday during core office hours. Our opportunities within the paediatric dietetics team would depend on interest and experience with the possibility of some remote working. As a team we cover the general paediatric wards and outpatients. In addition to this we also cover many subspecialities including surgery, paediatric and neonatal intensive care, oncology, gastroenterology, ketogenics, home enteral feeding, cystic fibrosis, allergy, obesity, SCBU and diabetes.

Main duties of the job

To act as part of the dietetic team and in conjunction with existing paediatric dietitians provide specialist dietetic services to the Addenbrooke's Children's Services and other external agencies and hospitals as appropriate.

To work within a multi professional framework and contribute to a first class service through evidence based clinical practice, management, education, research and audit. To set and work toward individual and team objectives that reflect corporate plans and work within the clinical governance framework.

Depending on experience and interest there will be opportunities to contribute to the dietetic services to a variety of areas. As a team we cover the general paediatric wards and outpatients. Qualifications

Essential

  • State Registered Dietitian
  • Appropriate degree/diploma to post graduate level such as Diploma in Advanced dietetic practice or equivalent level of knowledge and experience.
  • Evidence of CPD (portfolio)


Desirable

  • Training/further study
  • BDA specialist group member
  • Working towards Masters in Paediatric Practice


Experience

Essential

  • Good general experience in the NHS
  • Experience of paediatrics
  • Proven development work


Desirable

  • MDT work
  • Student Training experience
  • Talks and Group work

  • Up to date with current general issues in paediatric dietetics
  • Demonstrates good clinical practice
