An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 7 Physiotherapist to join the team at Yeovil District Hospital to lead in the development of Physiotherapy service provision to Paediatrics. This covers orthopaedic and neurological development alongside respiratory care.

The successful individual will have the expertise to develop a robust and responsive paediatric service from the neonatal unit to the wards including responsibilities for service provision & development and training for staff on the Respiratory Physiotherapy On-Call rota.

Main duties of the job

  • Provide a highly specialised and up to date physiotherapy service in Paediatric Physiotherapy
  • Provide clinical expertise including Paediatric Physiotherapy training and support to all Therapy staff and the multi-disciplinary team
  • Leading in the planning, co-ordinating, delivery, evaluation and improvement of Physiotherapy services to Paediatrics
  • Providing clinical and strategic leadership for Paediatric Physiotherapy Services with responsibilities for safety, quality, training and clinical governance agendas supporting the workforce to deliver exceptional care

Qualifications

Essential

  • Diploma/degree in Physiotherapy
  • HCPC Registration
  • Evidence of CPD maintained in a portfolio including attendance at relevant postgraduate courses


Desirable

  • Member of relevant special interest group


Knowledge and Experience

Essential

  • Detailed, proved and upto date post graduate experience
  • Relevant and comprehensive evidence of life-long learning
  • Able to povide robust leadership
  • Experience of working and leading in a MDT


Desirable

  • Experience of service development, project management and evaluation


Personal Qualities

Essential

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good time management and organisational skills
  • Able to work collaboratively within the MDT
  • Committed to personal and team development
