The Learning Disability Family Intensive Support Service (LD/FISS) is a community-based service in Sussex providing holistic support to individuals with a mental health issue that relates to their learning needs

We are looking for a full-time, Band 7 Team Leader to work within our MDT

We are wanting a confident Team Leader who can inspire, support and oversee the delivery of care to our clients.

You will be an integral part of the LD/FISS working within the CAMHS Directorate, providing strong clinical leadership and contributing to service development.

You must be friendly, approachable, motivated and hard working with a passion for delivering high quality care.

The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to effective team working have excellent communication and leadership skills.

We can offer regular clinical/management supervision and reflective practice. We also have regular professional development days which are bespoke to the team. All we ask is that you are committed to delivering a quality service to those under your care and that you are passionate in regards to developing and improving service provision. We will ensure you have a suitable induction period, and training will be provided according to your needs.

Main duties of the job

This role is for an experienced mental health practitioner. A professional qualification is a necessity i.e. RMN, OT, Social Worker.

You will work closely with senior management and the provider collaborative,

You will ensure we are meeting the Key Performance Indicators and give regular updates on the team performance

You will offer regular supervision/ appraisals to the team

You will manage a small case load supporting those with complex needs.

This post offers the Trust's �4,000 Incentive for band 5-7 Nurses & Practitioners, as well as a relocation package up to a maximum of �8,000 (subject to terms and conditions).

Job responsibilities

The main responsibilities of this role are:

To coordinate and lead team functioning with particular focus on

Management of referrals including delivery of care

Performance monitoring and management

Line Management and supervision of staff.

To carry a clinical caseload as agreed with service manager and to take a lead on management of complex cases and supporting staff in management of such cases

To ensure the team functions in line with care group core business

Pay Band: AFC Band 7 (travel expenses are paid according to AFC)

LD/FISS operational hours: Monday to Friday, 09.00 - 17.00hrs

Full -time hours: 37.5 hrs per week

This role requires enhanced DBS clearance prior to an employment offer.

You are required to hold a professional qualification i.e. RMN, OT, Social Worker.

  • Educated to minimum diploma level with a relevant qualification or equivalent experience.

  • Significant experience of and demonstrable achievement in clinical practice

  • Understanding of Health and Social Care Governance
  • Experience of managing staff
