Job Details

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced clinical pharmacist to join our leadership team at Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust, as our Lead Pharmacist for Critical Care and Theatres. You will be responsible for providing a high-quality patient-focused clinical pharmacy service to our intensive care and high dependency unit, developing pharmacy services and mentoring our pharmacists on their foundation pathway.

Main duties of the job

The pharmacist we are looking for will be a strong clinician, organised, hardworking and dedicated with great communication skills and a passion for developing services. You will need to have a Postgraduate Clinical Diploma (or equivalent experience) and ideally be a current non-medical prescriber or willing to work towards the qualification. The role will focus on continually improving the clinical pharmacy service within our Intensive care and high dependency unit and theatres whilst also working to develop our foundation and trainee pharmacist workforce.

About us

The pharmacy service is proactive and forward thinking and is committed to personal development and delivering outstanding outcomes for our patients. We benefit from integrated robotic dispensing, fully funded post graduate training, an independent outpatient service and electronic prescribing.

Our service is open 7 days a week and our current opening hours are Monday to Friday 8.30am-5pm (with no late night rota), Saturday 9am-1pm and Sunday 9.30am-1pm. Weekend shifts are 1 in 8 with one bank holiday per year.
