We are excited to offer the opportunity to join our ever-evolving team who are dedicated to delivering care which is safe, compassionate and evidence based. Recent achievements include a prestigious RCM award for Supporting Mental Health in Pregnancy project. We pride ourselves on being a baby friendly accredited unit who are now on a journey to achieve UNICEF UK BFI Gold Award. In line with Better Births we offer both traditional and Continuity of Care models of working.

We are delighted to be able to offer the successful applicants a robust supernumary period of five weeks, to include mandatory training and an opportunity to work in all inpatient areas. This is led by the Pastoral Support Midwives and supported by our friendly, welcoming multi-disciplinary team, including Professional Midwifery Advocates. As well as this, you will receive a named Preceptor for your preceptorship period, for up to two years. During this time, you will be part of the Trust preceptorship program, receiving time out days, clinical skills training and ongoing support.

Main duties of the job

As an Integrated Midwife you will have the opportunity to rotate between all areas of maternity. We are looking for enthusiastic, motivated midwives who are passionate about maintaining high standards of care for women, birthing people and their families in line with The Trusts Proud to Care Values.

This role is for Band 5 level midwives, if you are a band 6 level midwife please apply for our band 6 integrated midwife role that is also out to advert.
