We have a unique and wonderful opportunity for an enthusiastic Psychiatrist to join our Adults Community Eating Disorders Team, based at the Warneford Hospital in Oxford.
You must have knowledge in Eating Disorders Psychiatry, or a wide range of specialist and sub-specialist experience relevant to this post. We are looking for individuals who have great interpersonal skills, who can manage a complexity caseload and be able to lead the clinical team. You will be providing leadership to junior doctors, helping support them in their studies and expand knowledge in this specialist area to help grow our medical workforce.
The Oxfordshire Community service covers a mixed urban and rural population of around 690,000. It currently receives an average of 40-60 referrals and has a caseload of 360 patients accessing longer term treatment.
Our Eating Disorder Services are spread throughout Oxfordshire and Wiltshire, where our inpatient bases in Oxford provides 14 beds and Marlborough provides 6 beds. In addition, to day patients who attend the services. As part of your role, you will work collaboratively with the other Eating Disorders Services and Mental Health Teams of the Trust.
As a Trust, we currently work in partnership with The University of Oxford, undertaking research initiatives, with a focus on mental health and dementia, primary care and more. We would encourage you to support and be involved in these high-quality research topics.
Ideally, the post is full time but consideration will be given to those who wish to work less than full time and we can offer flexible working patterns.
