We are excited to be able to advertise for several key roles in our newly refurbished inpatient unit within the Bay Locality.

We are looking for highly motivated, pro-active individuals who have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, lots of initiative and who are looking for their next challenge. They will demonstrate the required nursing skills, along with the desire to develop services and provide excellent nursing care and patient centred services.

The posts will be based within the Bay locality in the newly refurbished Kentmere ward, which will offer 12 en- suite bedrooms newly designed and with care and attention paid to provide a state of the art therapeutic environment.

The successful candidate will be a Registered Nurse - mental health or learning disability nurse. This role is also suitable for a newly qualified Registered Nurse where you'll be supported by a 12 month preceptorship programme.

Main duties of the job

On a day to day basis, you will focus on the clinical assessment of needs of patients, including risk assessment and management, therapeutic interventions, care planning and ensuring patients and their carers, friends and family are involved in the care planning process.

The role involves a high degree of sensitivity and confidentiality, negotiation and communication skills, understanding and compassion, and the ability to deal with any challenging situations that may arise. There will also be an opportunity to shape things as we seek continual improvement in everything we do - and alongside this you will have opportunities for your own development as we continue to explore advanced nurse practitioner, nurse consultant and other advanced nursing roles.

We want to recruit people to the bay locality who share our values and are confident in their ability to contribute to the effectiveness of our services.
