An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced band 5 nurse, to join the expanding nursing team in the Radiology Department. If you are looking for a change from the daily routine of a ward setting, wanting to develop your acute nursing skills and like the fact you are not sure what will come through the door next then this is a position for you. Previous sedation experience is not essential and can all be taught in the role. This is a nurse-led sedation unit where we care for the patient from admission through to discharge, developing advanced nursing skills that can be easily transferrable. The unit is committed to the training and development of staff and each individual is supported by the Sedation CNS and Practice Educator. This service is forever expanding as is one of the only nurse-led sedation services in the UK.

The Radiology Department is formed of a small team of nurses that work alongside the larger multi-disciplinary team which includes Radiographers, Radiologists, Anaesthetists, ODP's, ATP's, Nurses, Advanced Nurse Practitioners, Healthcare Assistance and Administration Staff.

If you wish to discuss this further or would like an informal visit, please contact: Sedationcns@gosh.nhs.uk
